Research Interests

I work in String Theory and Quantum Field Theory. Currently my main interests are to understand the mathematical structures and properties of scattering amplitudes in various field theories as well as superstring.

Recently I have been working with Freddy Cachazo and Song He on the mathematical formulation of amplitudes based on a punctured Riemann sphere underlying the tree-level scattering processes. In particular, we discovered a set of equations (which we call scattering equations) that relate the puncture locations and the scattering data, valid in any dimensions. This has the potential to unify amplitudes in different theories easily into a single framework (as we have done in pure Yang-Mills and gravity) and provides new insights to the study of interesting relations among these theories, such as Kawai-Lewellen-Tye and Bern-Carrasco-Johansson.
