Perimeter Institute invites applications for one or more tenure-track faculty positions (equivalent to the level of assistant professor) in cosmological physics. Exceptional candidates may also be considered for a tenured senior faculty position. We welcome applications from outstanding individuals working on any aspect of cosmology, ranging from theoretical physics to data analysis. The successful applicant will play a leading role in integrating Perimeter's activities in cosmology with other research areas at the Institute.

The successful candidate will have a PhD in astrophysics, theoretical physics, or a closely related field as well as postdoctoral experience, and will have demonstrated exceptional strength in independent research. Interested candidates are asked to submit their curriculum vitae, list of publications, research statement, and equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) statement (describing your experience and plans for creating/advancing a culture of equity and inclusion within the discipline). They must also arrange to have at least three letters of recommendation submitted, following the instructions provided on the application page.  Applicants for a senior position can alternatively provide the names of 3 references in place of letters.

Please submit your application by January 1, 2024. However, applications will be accepted until the position is filled.

All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply; however, Canadian citizens and permanent residents will be given priority. Perimeter Institute is committed to diversity within its community and especially welcomes applications from racialized persons/persons of colour, women, Indigenous/Aboriginal People of North America, persons with disabilities, LGBTQ2S+ persons, and others who may contribute to the further diversification of ideas.

Perimeter Institute provides support throughout the application process for applicants with disabilities. We work with you to understand the impact of your disability to appropriately accommodate you during the application/interview process. Please contact [email protected] for assistance.
