Chamber Music Society of Lincoln CenterThursday, January 19, 2017 at 7:30 pmThe Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center (CMS) is one of eleven constituents of Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, the largest performing arts complex in the world. The society presents chamber music of every instrumentation, style, and historical period in its extensive concert season in New York and its national and international tours. For Perimeter, David Finkel (co-director of CMS and a good friend of the Institute) has recommended the “Fauré and Brahms” programme. The remarkable young pianist, Alessio Bax, praised by Gramophone for the “hypnotic intensity” of his playing, is joined in this not-to-be missed program by esteemed violinist Ani Kafavian, the brilliant Yura Lee on viola, and the incomparable artistry of Paul Watkins on cello. We are so excited to welcome this talented group to Perimeter. |
