Overview

Donald W. Campbell is the Senior Strategy Advisor at Norton Rose Fulbright Canada LLP.  He had a distinguished career with Canada’s Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade serving as Deputy Foreign Minister, Deputy Minister of International Trade, Ambassador to Japan, Ambassador to Korea and a host of assignments in Canada and abroad.  He entered the private sector as Executive Vice President of CAE Inc. and has served on Boards in both the for-profit and non-profit sector.  Don was on the Board of Directors of the Perimeter Institute (2004-2011) and the Leadership Council (2016-present).  Don has extensive experience and involvement in Canada-US political, trade, and economic issues and continuing activities in the Asia Pacific region on the Pacific Economic Cooperation Council and as a Distinguished Fellow of the Asia Pacific Foundation.  He has received Honorary Doctorate degrees from the University of Ottawa, Carleton University and Laurier University.  He was awarded the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Stars by the Emperor of Japan for his contribution to the Canada Japan relationship.
