Perimeter Institute is very pleased to announce that Adrian Kent has joined its faculty as an associate member. Adrian's current research interests are in the foundations of physics, quantum cryptography and quantum information theory. Adrian was previously an Enrico Fermi postdoctoral fellow at the University of Chicago, a member of the Institute for Advanced Study, and a Royal Society University Research Fellow at the University of Cambridge, where he is currently Reader in Quantum Physics.
Adrian comments on his appointment, "PI's particular focus on foundational questions in physics has made an enormous difference to the global theoretical physics scene. I am honoured and delighted to have the opportunity to be associated with PI, and to contribute to its unique research environment."
Rob Myers, Interim Scientific Director, notes, "We are all delighted with Adrian's appointment at Perimeter. He is a marvelous addition for our research efforts in both quantum foundations and quantum information."
