IMSc Celebration to Feature Perimeter’s Rafael Sorkin

The Institute of Mathematical Sciences (IMSc) in India is commemorating 50 years of creative science with a Golden Jubilee.  The celebration, which includes a special conference and public events, will be held from January 2nd to 4th, 2013.

The IMSc and Perimeter Institute share a memorandum of understanding to encourage scientific exchange and collaborations.  Rafael Sorkin, a Senior Researcher at Perimeter, is currently on a scientific visit to the IMSc.  He will take part in the celebration with a public talk on Geometry from Order and Number: Causal Sets. More information regarding all of the Golden Jubilee activities can found on the IMSc celebration webpage, including a listing of participants and online registration details.
