John received his PhD from the University of Cambridge. His postdoctoral fellowships included positions at CERN and Imperial College London. John went on to a Senior Scientist position at the Research Institute for Advanced Studies in Maryland. He was Associate Professor of Physics at University of Toronto for three years then became a full professor. AffiliationsUniversity of Toronto, Department of Physics and University of Waterloo, Department of Physics Moffat is currently exploring cosmology, quantum gravity and fundamental problems in modified gravity theory. He is investigating ways to solve the cosmological constant problem, which is a pressing issue in cosmology and particle physics. He is discovering alternative models of the early universe, and their consequences for current and future observations of the cosmic microwave background and supernovae data. He is investigating alternative models of Electroweak Theory in particle physics. Additional Publications: Original essay published at Powells.com
