Big Bang Nucleosynthesis and Particle Physics

Recent years have brought an unprecedented improvement in the quality of predictions in the abundances of light elements due to the improved quality of observations and largely due to a precise determination of baryon-to-photon abundance ratio via the anisotropies of the cosmic microwave background. Still, several problems remain, notably those related to the abundance of Li7 and Li6 elements, which might suggest non-standard cosmological or particle physics influencing the BBN.

 

The workshop is designed to bring together researchers who work on the BBN calculations in the standard framework as well as in the presence of non-standard particle physics.
