Show Us The Power of Ideas in Your Classroom

Ideas make the world go round! Perimeter Institute challenges Canadian intermediate (grades 7-10) and senior (grades 11-12) science teachers to inspire and engage students with The Power of Ideas multimedia resource that explores the six most powerful ideas in physics history and the transformative effect they have had on our world.

What do you have to do?

  1. Check out The Power of Ideas multimedia resource at perimeterinstitute.ca/powerofideas.
  2. Develop a lesson plan and related activities to engage and inspire your students. For example, the lesson plan may include the grade level, objectives, description, materials, student handouts and any assessments used.
  3. Record your students' reaction to the content.
  4. Register to enter your lesson plan, supporting materials, and video in the contest.

What's in it for you?

  1. A cash prize of $1000 CDN will be awarded to the science department of both an intermediate and a senior high school teacher. The teacher's class (featured in your video) will win a pizza prize pack valued at over $150.
