PI sponsors the theoretical research prize, and is pleased to congratulate the 2007 winner, Gleb Akselrod, from the Kwiat Quantum Information Team at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.  He was judged on his presentation skills, content and Q&A during his talk entitled “Numerical Modeling and Optimization of Type-I Entangled-Photon Sources".  The award includes a cash prize of $500 USD and was presented at the American Physical Society’s March meeting.
