Fault Tolerant Quantum Computation II

June 15-16, 2007

FTQC II is a focused workshop, aimed at recent developments in fault-tolerant quantum computation and related topics. The workshop will bring together theorists and experimentalists interested in fault-tolerance. Topics will include the latest progress in theoretical fault-tolerant techniques, properties of experimental systems relevant to fault-tolerant implementations, and identify important future research directions in fault-tolerance.

There are still spots available for FTQC II. Please register if you would like to attend.

Talk submissions are now closed, but there is some possibility of a poster session or a rump session for sufficiently interesting late submissions. The workshop will have a limited number of formal talks, with most of the remaining time allocated for informal discussions, brainstorming sessions, and a panel discussion. This workshop is part of the Taming the Quantum World series of workshops, and is a follow-up from the FTQC meeting held in August 2005 at IBM Watson Research Center.

Organizers: Daniel Gottesman (dgottesman@perimeterinstitute.ca), Debbie Leung (wcleung@math.uwaterloo.ca)
