Origins and Observations of Primordial Non-Gaussianity

March 8 - 10, 2008
Perimeter Institute

Primordial non-Gaussianity can provide us with a rare glimpse into the nature of the initial conditions of the Universe. Recently, Yadav and Wandelt have claimed a detection of primordial non-Gaussianity in the WMAP cosmic microwave background maps, which would rule out a large class of inflationary models. This workshop aims to bring together experts in theory and observations of primordial non-Gaussianity, in order to seek a consensus on the significance of this detection, as well as its possible implications for the models of early universe.
