The Arts or Sciences: Which is more creative?
The scientists in us want to know for once and for all! How do artists and scientists come up with new ideas? How are the creative processes in both fields similar? How are they different? Join in an engaging discussion at the interface between art and science with host Dr. Damian Pope and a panel of experts from both arenas.

NB: Please choose either the 5:30 or 7:30 pm event, as both sessions will feature similar presentations.

Attendance is free, but advance tickets are required available now.

The Future of Science
Science matters. Join host Dr. Richard Epp for a panel discussion with three leading Perimeter Institute scientists probing the future of science. What are some of the hottest ideas and trends in science today? What might be coming down the pipe tomorrow? Is “quantum gravity” the last great unification? Grab a drink, enjoy stimulating ideas, and engage in lively Q&A discussion.

35 King St. S., Waterloo (Time Square Building)

Experience some of the most important revolutions in science and technology through a series of interactive science exhibits. Tour PI’s first home at the historic post office in Uptown Waterloo – all part of ‘Doors Open Waterloo Region’. It’s fun for the whole family! Don’t forget to check out a different set of Physica Phantastica exhibits as part of the grand opening celebrations the next day.

Come experience Perimeter’s brand new 55,000 square foot expansion, named in honour of Professor Stephen Hawking. See bold angular lines, streams of natural light and blackboards in almost every space. Ask international scientists some of your deepest questions about the universe.
