Regarded internationally as one of the foremost string quartets of the day, the Hagen Quartet is praised for its unique, finely nuanced timbre and the engaging immediacy of its ensemble sound. The Hagen Quartet will conclude our 2009/10 season with its first performance in Canada in nearly a decade.

“The control of colour and phrasing and the superb ensemble are all predictable Hagen qualities, but the way in which they characterize each work without emotional exaggeration or special pleading is also a model of its kind.”
- The Guardian (UK)

Following his stunning performance in our 08/09 season, where he showed our audience why he is one of today’s most virtuosic and engaging performers, we are thrilled to welcome Gil Shaham back, this time in an all-Bach solo recital.

"...one of the most sensitive and responsive of the high-powered violin virtuosos."
- Gramophone (UK)

“Gabriela Montero’s extraordinary musical powers exist within a highly sensitive, almost raw emotional personality. Every performance seems an unknown journey…”
