Quantum Matter Day

The Quantum Matter Day is an opportunity for all Perimeter researchers working in different aspects of quantum matter (from condensed matter to quantum fields and strings, from quantum foundations to mathematical physics, from quantum gravity to quantum information) to get together and learn about each other's work. For this purpose, there will be over 20 mini-talks (7 minutes each) by senior PhD students, postdocs, and faculty, as detailed in the schedule. The talks are divided into two morning sessions and two afternoon sessions, with breaks between blocks for discussion.

This one-day event is organized as part of Perimeter's recently established Quantum Matter Initiative (https://www.perimeterinstitute.ca/research/research-initiatives/quantum-matter-initiative), which is led by our three new faculty Yin-Chen He, Tim Hsieh, and Beni Yoshida. There is also currently a related search for several more junior faculty positions in quantum information

(http://www.perimeterinstitute.ca/faculty-positions-quantum-information-science) and condensed matter (http://www.perimeterinstitute.ca/faculty-positions-condensed-matter-theory).
