Applications are invited for a tenure-track faculty position to be held jointly at Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics and the Department of Physics & Astronomy, University of Waterloo, in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. Exceptional senior candidates may also be considered for a tenured appointment. The department and institute expect to hire in the area of theoretical and/or observational astrophysics with an emphasis on the physics of the early universe and the development of large-scale structure. The Department of Physics & Astronomy is a partner in the Guelph-Waterloo Physics Institute, which includes more than 80 faculty and 160 graduate students. The University of Waterloo and Perimeter Institute jointly include over 35 faculty and 50 postdoctoral fellows currently working in cosmology, gravitation, large-scale structure, quantum gravity, string theory, particle physics, quantum information, and quantum foundations. In addition to this joint position, Perimeter Institute expects to grow in cosmology with 2 or 3 new full-time faculty positions in the near future.
