PI-University of Toronto Associate Position in Theoretical High Energy Physics

The Department of Physics at the University of Toronto and the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics in Waterloo, Ontario are pleased to announce the search for a tenure stream appointment in Theoretical High Energy Physics at the rank of Assistant Professor, to be held jointly at the Perimeter Institute and the University of Toronto. The position has a starting date of July 1, 2010 or shortly thereafter. 

We seek candidates with a PhD. in Physics, and with evidence of excellence in both research and teaching. We are particularly interested in high energy theory with relevance to the era of the LHC, although outstanding candidates in any field of theoretical particle physics and string theory are encouraged to apply. The new appointment will have the opportunity to interact with existing groups in theoretical and experimental high energy physics at the University of Toronto as well as with researchers at the Canadian Institute for Theoretical Astrophysics and with the large community of theoretical physicists working at the Perimeter Institute.  For more information, prospective candidates are invited to visit our web pages at www.physics.utoronto.ca and www.perimeterinstitute.ca. The salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
