Recent Progress in Quantum Algorithms

April 11-13, 2012
University of Waterloo/Institute for Quantum Computing and Perimeter Institute
Scientific Areas: quantum information

This is a joint workshop between the University of Waterloo/IQC and Perimeter Institute. The 11 and 13 will be held at the University of Waterloo and the 12 will be held at PI.

The workshop aims at discussing the state of the art in quantum algorithms and complexity, and identifying new problems for which quantum computers could play a significant role. We expect between twenty and thirty invited participants from outside Waterloo. There will be a limited number of talks, with ample time for informal interactions among participants. Several open sessions will be scheduled. The presentations will focus on the latest results in quantum algorithms and complexity theory, and along with the open sessions, they are intended to foster the exchange of ideas among researchers from different
backgrounds.
