Exotic States of Hot and Dense Matter and their Dual Description
May 22 - 25, 2007 Perimeter Institute
The purpose of this workshop is to bring together leading experts working on matter in extreme conditions as found in the early Universe, the interior of compact stars, and quark-gluon plasma produced in the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC) at Brookhaven National Laboratory. The workshop will foster collaboration between researchers studying thermal field theories in and out-off equilibrium using perturbative and non-perturbative (including lattice) techniques, and the researchers using gauge theory-string theory correspondence as a tool to understand strongly coupled gauge theory dynamics at finite temperature and density.
