Dubbed a “Classical Rock Star” by the press, cellist Joshua Roman has earned an international reputation for performing a wide range of repertoire with an absolute commitment to communicating the essence of the music at its most organic level. Before embarking on a solo career, he was for two seasons principal cellist of the Seattle Symphony, a position he won in 2006 at the age of 22.

Twenty-three year old Chinese pianist Yuja Wang is regularly lauded for her controlled, prodigious technique, Yuja's command of the piano has been described as astounding and superhuman, and she has been praised for the depth of her musical insight, as well as her fresh interpretations and graceful, charismatic stage presence.

Programme
Ms. Wang's programme will include works by Rachmaninoff, Schubert, Scriabin, Mussorgsky, Mendelssohn and Saint-Saëns.
