Perimeter Institute's Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC) was created in 2000 and held its first meeting in March of 2001, six months before the Institute began research operations at 35 King Street in Waterloo. Over the years, the Institute has been privileged to attract many of the world’s leading theoretical physicists to sit on the SAC, and is exceptionally grateful to them for their guidance and leadership, particularly in the pivotal early years of Perimeter’s development.
